Value Proposition

Using strategic partnerships between public institutions and the private sector is proving to be an efficient way to brand Danish city solutions and related technologies.

The role of public institutions is to share visions and practical experiences about how to deliver quality solutions to citizens. The role of the private sector is to demonstrate how these solutions work.

Danish Cleantech Hub connects the efforts of our public and private partners. By organizing activities and by building relationships to local stakeholders, the Hubs provide an engagement platform for our partners.

Danish Partners

Danish Cleantech Hub’s partners include a wide range of Danish companies, municipalities, regions, planning agencies, higher learning institutions and organizations.

Public partners are active in Danish Cleantech Hub on a non-commercial basis, i.e. without paying fixed partnership contributions. Instead, they contribute to specific projects on an operational and/or funding basis.

Company partners are divided into three partnership categories:

Strategic partners are companies that request individual services as a supplement to Danish Cleantech Hub’s collective efforts in one or more Hub markets. The companies pay a fee according to their service requirements.

Program partners are companies that take part in multi-stakeholder projects with export or innovation as the overall objective. These projects are most often publicly funded, meaning that the companies do not pay a partnership contribution to Danish Cleantech Hub.

Event partners are companies that do not fit into the first two categories but wish for access and exposure in connection with activities organized by Danish Cleantech Hub. These companies pay a small annual partnership contribution.

Local Partners

Danish Cleantech Hub co-operates with three groups of local stakeholders: authorities, influencers and sales channels. A well-coordinated working relationship between all the involved stakeholders is essential to making a real impact.

Local authorities are public decision-makers responsible for city planning. The purpose of co-operating with local authorities is to access public procurement agencies and to establish channels for continuous relationship-building.

Local influencers are institutions and persons with influence on sustainable city development as well as climate/energy related decisions. Examples are design institutes, universities, opinion-makers, media, NGOs and community groups. The purpose of co-operating with local influencers is to create awareness about new procedures and technologies related to green urban transition.

Local sales channels consist of the companies that win local contracts and public tenders on sustainable urban development. Examples are developers, utilities and technical consultants. The purpose of co-operating with local sales channels is to position Danish sub-suppliers for projects with a local main contract.
