19junAll DayChina-Denmark City Dialogue 2019SYMPOSIUM: Using Smart Solutions to Achieve Green Growth

Event Details

Co-creating the Cities of Tomorrow requires global alliances between leading cities focusing on sustainability and smart urban solutions. Cities in Denmark, China, Singapore, United States and Germany are all at the forefront with innovative approaches to tackling the challenges arising from climate change, resource scarcity, traffic congestion and growing urban populations.

In this context, the Access Cities initiative is developed by Danish Cleantech Hub (DCH), leading Danish frontrunners for sustainable development and business promotion. As the founding partners, DCH, CAUPD Beijing Planning and Design Consultants Co. (CAUPD · BJ), and renowned institutions from Singapore, New York and Munich aim to co-create tomorrow’s cities through the exchange of business opportunities and R&D activities in cross-border partnerships. The overarching goal is to bridge competencies, solutions, investments and exports between the participating cities whilst simultaneously accelerating sustainability, livability and the green transition of cities.

China-Denmark City Innovation Dialogue conference, the first major activity of the Access Cities Global Alliance in China, is co-organized by Danish Cleantech Hub and CAUPD Beijing Planning & Design Consultants Co.

Top keynote speakers from Royal Danish Embassy, Copenhagen Climate Adaptation Living Lab, China Academy of Urban Planning and Design, Smart City Department of Huawei and other leading institutions address the theme of Using Smart Solutions to Achieve Green Growth based on cases in the field of climate resiliency, Green Eco-cities, sponge cities, smart cities, urban design, green buildings, green infrastructure etc.

To provide inspiration to policy makers, businesses and researchers, the conference focuses on how the government and business sectors can co-create solutions by examining two interconnected topics:
