Danish Solutions Delight Chinese Urban Planners – September 2017

The Danish Cleantech Hub in Shanghai in Partnership with China Academy of Urban Planning and Design and Royal Danish consulate general in Shanghai successfully hosted ”Sino-Danish City dialogue: Sustainable and Innovative solutions for Urban Development” on Friday, September 1st. The event was in conjunction with Shanghai Design Week 2017 as well as part of the China High-Level Think Tank Symposium of Urbanization.

The symposium addressed challenges for sustainable urban planning and provided solutions for cities to adapt to climate change. Decision-makers, city planners and veteran industry professionals from both Denmark and China had the opportunity to discuss and share best practices of green cities. More than 100 participants attended the event last week.

Waste Water Delegation Visits Shanghai IE Expo China – May 2017

BUSINESS DELEGATION: DI and the Danish Cleantech Hub in conjunction with IE Expo China 2017, invites Danish companies to become part of a water platform with the aim of delivering the coherent story of Danish clean water technology. In the course of the delegation, cases such as the Marselisborg Waste Water Treatment Plant, will be facilitated by Aarhus Vand to a targeted Chinese audience in order to capture the attention of potential Chinese clients and stakeholders.

Sharing Danish Solutions
The narrative of Danish water technology draws upon decades of experience within sustainable waste water treatment facilities. This experience can be transferred to the Chinese market, where the market is growing alongside a heightened focus on sustainable water treatment. This is particularly underscored by the commitment set forth in the most recent five-year plan.

Our waste water platform enables Danish companies to effectively communicate their solutions by presenting their technology in front of a targeted audience, in collaboration with several other Danish companies and stakeholders within the waste water sector. This will maximize the outcome for your company and deliver a holistic approach to the possibilties within waste water treatment.

China – Denmark Regions and Cities forum in Beijing – December 2016

The China Denmark Regions and Cities forum in Beijing was opened by Danish Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Gender Equality, Karen Ellemann alongside Chinese State Councilor, Yang Jiechi, at the International Convention Center of Beijing Hotel on December 5th.

CFIE Delegation Visit Copenhagen – November 2016

A delegation of 40+ Chinese executives from government, business and finance paid a visit to Denmark on November 21. to attend a business seminar hosted by DI and DCH Shanghai. The delegation was headed by China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE), one of China’s leading business associations.

New Ways to Export Kick-off Event – October 2016

The New Ways to Export China Kick-off event was held on the 27th of October, gathering member companies, experts and relevant stakeholders at Industriens Hus in Copenhagen. The purpose of the event was to formally introduce the activities of the New Ways to Export public-private partnership initiated by State of Green and the Confederation of the Danish Industry.

The event was opened by DCH Program Director, Peter Bøgh Hansen who gave a welcoming speech and gave a brief outline of the activities planned for the event.
He was followed by an introduction to State of Green’s work in China, presented by Executive Director Finn Mortensen. Chief Analyst from Danske Bank, Allan von Mehren presented a general outlook on China’s economy and how he sees the future macroeconomic development.
Moving from macro to micro, John Fu from China Insight gave a talk on how to become successful when navigating in the Chinese business sphere. His arguments was backed by cases revolving around foreign companies entering the Chinese market. The last of the event’s external speakers was Head of China Desk – EY Denmark, Ole Hedemann who gave a speech on Chinese investments in Denmark, including key takeaways and trends.

To conclude on the day’s program, Danish Cleantech Hub China Market Director, Ruoyi Zhou, wrapped up the event with an outline of the planned New Ways to Export events and a Q&A for the member companies.

The planned activities were followed by a networking session allowing the companies, stakeholders and the speakers to talk in an informal setting.

DCH Shanghai Website Launch and Kick-off Event – October 2016

As we are standing on the brink of China’s ever-expanding technological frontier, we will furthermore make sure to keep you updated with relevant clean tech tendencies in China, as well as relevant Sino-Danish developments.
On October 27th, we will launch our kickoff networking event in Industriens Hus in Copenhagen where we among other things will provide valuable information on China’s economic outlook and how to be successful in China.

Shanghai Water Hotspot Forum – September 2016

On September 23rd, the 8th Shanghai Water Hotspot Forum was held with the topic “Welcoming the branding times of the sewage and sludge industry”. DCH introduced Danish sewage technology and solutions at the event.

The 8th Shanghai Water Hotspot Forum was arranged by the Shanghai Municipal engineering design institute Co. Ltd. The event discussed methods to solve sewage and sludge problems and how to achieve a transition, within the sewage and sludge industry. The event consisted of three segments: sludge disposal, energy saving and consumption reduction and stability.

During the event, several prominent speakers gave an account on what they believed could be potential game changers in the sewage and sludge industry.

Danish Cleantech Hub at the Zhejiang International Technology Transfer Conference.

Danish Cleantech Hub was mentioned in Zhejiang media as we visited the Zhejiang International Technology Transfer Conference, in order to promote the Danish Cleantech Hub initiative in China. On the two day conference, we met with Chinese stakeholders and the media from Zhejiang and the surrounding provinces.

The conference featured a matchmaking event where associations and companies were able to interact and share ideas. The Danish Cleantech Hub booth was well visited, and DCH China Marketing Director Ruoyi Zhou was interviewed for several Chinese media sites.
