The cooperation between governments, the private sector, and civil society will determine the future of our planet, as we face a critical window of opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions whilst increasing biodiversity and paving the way towards a more sustainable and resilient planet.
Putting emphasis on Scope 3 emissions, the by-invitation-only event is hosted by the Confederation of Danish Industry, Danish Cleantech Hub, and State of Green. The event brings together thought leaders to discuss how governments, companies, and societies can move away from a narrow focus on reducing direct emissions towards a more holistic worldview where scope 3 emissions, social justice, and biodiversity must be considered in order to avoid eroding skills, jobs, social cohesion, climate, and environment. Attendees of this event can expect a highly interactive afternoon including panel, keynote addresses, discussions as well as an opportunity for networking.

A significant shift on a worldwide scale is required in how energy is both generated and used. The increasing demand for energy along with the Paris Agreement’s target of limiting global warming to 1.5°C highlight the pressing nature of this requirement. On 20 September, the World Energy Transition Summit will bring together global energy leaders in New York representing both public and private sectors from North America and beyond to foster strong alliances and to take stock in the global energy transition. The pivotal event will harness the combined efforts of the public and private sectors to accelerate green innovation and its consequent deployment.
Centered around discussions that prioritize actionable strategies, the Summit’s objective is to propel concrete initiatives, technological advancements, and accelerate investments as well as climate policy structures necessary for achieving a net-zero energy transition. With State of Green as an institutional partner, the World Energy Transition Summit takes on a pragmatic, solution-driven approach to expedite the global decarbonization of energy systems and drive investments in sustainable energy.
