By leading with innovation, transparency, and regenerative approaches, the agriculture and food sector is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.
Denmark travels to COP29 with a clear agenda to optimise the use of resources within the food and agriculture sector.
As a long-standing research-based industry, Denmark is a global leader in high standards and data-driven practices to ensure that resources are used smarter and more efficient across the value chain in the agri-food sector. Demonstrating the possibility of increased productivity while minimising environmental impact, Danish agriculture contributes to maximising existing solutions as well as implementing technological breakthroughs, biosolutions, and improved agricultural applications.
Last year, Denmark announced the world’s first climate tax on agriculture following a historic green tripartite agreement. Looking ahead the Danish food industry is targeting climate neutrality in 2050.
